Welcome from Professor Todd Landman, Pro-Vice-Chancellor for the Faculty of Social Sciences and project sponsor
Thank you for your interest in the role of Programme Director for Digital Nottingham. This is an exciting opportunity to lead the establishment of a key initiative, which will support the University to meet its civic and regional ambitions as part of our University strategy.
Digital Nottingham will sit within the Financial and Infrastructure Team, forming a strategically important project of our University.
Digital Nottingham will be located in the city centre of Nottingham’s “Digital Quarter”, expanding the University’s presence to the heart of the city. It will harness the expertise across our Faculties in the areas of Data Science and Digital Transformation, to bring value to a wide range of stakeholders, including the general public, schools and local businesses to strengthen Nottingham’s position as a 21st Century data-driven city.
There are four main pillars of work within Digital Nottingham; the civic agenda, outreach and public engagement, core and demand-led research, addressing the skills gap and training in all things digital, and finally working with corporates and to attract them to invest in the project, including attracting an anchor tenant in the facility.
The Programme Director will lead this joint initiative together with local partners. We have a dedicated team leading the capital development of the project, the Programme Director will work closely with this team, but will lead all work streams related to the four pillars of content delivery for the project.
We are a university committed to equality, diversity, and inclusion in all our activities and we invite candidates from under-represented groups to consider and apply for this opportunity. This is an exciting, multi-dimensional project and the new Director will have the autonomy to shape the future direction of Digital Nottingham.
